Acclaimed Hong Kong director Benny Chan sadly passed away on 23rd of August after battling cancer.
He had fallen ill while making his most recent film Raging Fire starring Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse and it was in pre-production.
The director started his career at TVB and his early films include greats such as Big Bullet and Moment of Romance. Other great action films and thrillers he made include Who Am I? and New Police Story with Jackie Chan, Invisible Target, Shaolin and White Storm.
He leaves a wife, a son and a daughter. Condolences to all family and friends, Hong Kong cinema has lost one of the greats.
