The Jackie Chan movie Battle Creek Brawl, his first Hollywood production, is to get a special edition release from 88 Films from a brand new 2K remaster.
Directed by Robert Clouse Battle Creek Brawl, or The Big Brawl as it was called when released in Cinemas in the UK, is a fun and action-packed film with a great score by Lalo Schifrin.
It’s 1930s Chicago and a young Chinese American martial arts expert Jerry Kwan (Jackie Chan) is forced to compete in a no-holds-barred toughest-man tournament. Only his cantankerous uncle (Mako) can prepare Jerry to fight and win against the mountainous Billy Kiss (H.B. Heggarty). Chan brings his kung fu comedy to the jazz era, backed by an actual Hollywood cast including Oscar winner Jose Ferrer and Lenny Montana from ‘The Godfather’.
